cwp plugins snapshot
shipped 1.0.0cwp plugins snapshot [env] [flags]
Acts on the local site unless an environment is named.
| Argument | What it is | Default |
|---|---|---|
[env] | environment to read (omit for the local site) |
Plus the shared flags --json, --verbose and --dry-run.
What it does
Writes plugins.yml from what is installed on the site, and touches nothing else.
Read-only against the site, so pointing it at production is safe and is often the
right move: cwp plugins snapshot prod records what production actually has,
which is the thing a fresh clone needs to reproduce.
Example
cwp plugins snapshot # record what is installed locally
cwp plugins snapshot prod # β¦or what production has
What it does not do
It writes nothing to the site β not an install, not an activation. The only file
it changes is plugins.yml in your repository.
It records no plugin under a tracked path, no must-use plugin and no drop-in.
